What We Do

We focus on projects and conversations that make AI easier, safer, and more useful for everyone at UC:

• Provide guidance on choosing and using AI tools.

• Share training and resources so faculty, staff, and students can build AI skills.

• Encourage collaboration across colleges and departments.

• Promote ethical, and transparent use of AI.

Key Initiatives

Our work covers several priority areas:

• Enterprise AI Platforms | Supporting campuswide access to secure tools like Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT.

• Teaching, Learning, and Research | Exploring how AI can improve classrooms, labs, and scholarly work.

• Collaboration and Partnerships | Bringing people together across disciplines and institutions to tackle big challenges with AI.

• Ethics and Equity | Making sure AI supports fairness, accessibility, and engagement at UC.

• Policy and Governance | Developing clear standards and practices for safe, responsible AI use.
